Candied Bacon with a Kick

The only thing better than bacon is bacon caramelized with brown sugar and Crystal Hot Sauce. You can have it for breakfast, dessert, or just eat it by the handful – we’re not here to judge.
Ingredients
 1 lb thick cut bacon
 ½ cup light brown sugar
 1 tbsp chili powder
 ½ tsp cayenne pepper
 2 tsp Crystal Hot Sauce

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Combine brown sugar with chili powder and cayenne pepper.

Cover baking tray with aluminum foil. Spray rack heavily with non-stick cooking spray.

Cut bacon strips in half.

Dip bacon in brown sugar mixture and coat well. Spread the bacon over the rack, leaving a little space between the strips, and give them a light dusting with additional sugar and spice. Sprinkle with Crystal Hot Sauce.

Bake until the bacon is dark along the edges (start checking at 15 minutes). Make sure the sugar doesn't burn. Remove from oven and let sit for a few minutes.

Transfer to another rack or plate for cooling, then serve.
